Indian Chillies Trading Company Ltd

Our company, Indian Chillies Trading Company Ltd, is based at 33 Chidambaram Street in Villipathiri. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, until the trucks show up to load or unload. We deal mostly with trading chillies, as you can probably guess from the name. The building is an old one, and it has some character, but it also has its quirks like leaky pipes and creaky doors. We spend our days checking the quality of the dried chillies coming in from the farms. It’s a dusty job, and your eyes might sting a bit if you aren't used to being around so much spice all day. We don't have a fancy corporate office with air conditioning everywhere. It’s mostly just warehouse space and a small desk where we keep the records and handle the paperwork. We’ve been in this trade for a long time. We know the farmers and we know the buyers who come through here. It’s all about building those connections over the years. We don't use big words or try to act like we are more important than we are. We are just traders in a small town. Sometimes the market prices go up, sometimes they go down, and we just try to keep things steady. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot and the humidity is high, but we are used to it by now. We just keep moving forward.
