You can find us at No. 18 on Dr. Ranga Road in Mylapore. We call it Hideout Cafe Lounge, and we think the name fits because Dr. Ranga Road is a bit tucked away compared to the bigger streets in Chennai. Mylapore has such a deep history, and being here feels special, even if we’re just running a cafe and lounge. It's an LLP, which sounds official, but mostly it's just a few partners who wanted a place of our own. The building is simple, and we try to keep things relaxed. We aren't trying to be the trendiest place in the city. We just want a spot where things are straightforward. We spend a lot of time cleaning, fixing chairs, and making sure the kitchen is stocked. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, or the rain floods the street a little. That’s just life in Chennai. Our team is small, and we all know each other well. We don't use a lot of marketing talk because we’d rather just let people come in and see for themselves. We’re not perfect; sometimes the service is a little slow when we’re short-staffed, but we always try our best. It’s a quiet life on Dr. Ranga Road for the most part, and we’re happy to be part of the local community here in our corner of India.
