Hemalatha Granites

Hemalatha Granites is located at 1/90, Car Street in Kuthambakkam. You have to come via Thirumazhisai to get to us easily. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the city, which we like. Our yard is filled with all sorts of granite slabs. It’s heavy, dusty work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We aren't trying to be some high-end showroom with marble floors and air conditioning. We just have a yard and a small shed where we keep the records. People from the village come by when they are building a new house or fixing up an old one. We show them what we have in stock and tell them how much it costs. There’s no fancy talk or trying to upsell anyone. We just give people what they need. Sometimes the sun is really beating down on the stone and it’s hard to stay outside for long, but that’s just the business. My brother and I run the place mostly. We don’t have a website or a big marketing plan. Most people find us because they saw our sign on Car Street or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We just try to keep things honest and make sure the customer is happy with what they bought. It is hard work but it keeps us going.
