Granito Rock Export

Our place is on 79th Street, right at the corner of 18th Avenue in Ashok Nagar. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of houses and small shops mixed together. We are at 29/32, and if you walk by, you’ll probably see us through the window dealing with shipping documents or looking at stone samples. Since we deal with exports, there is a lot of back-and-forth on the computer and the phone. We spend hours making sure the containers are booked and the port papers are in order. It’s not as dirty as working in a quarry, but it has its own kind of stress. We have small blocks of granite and rock sitting around the office as samples so people can see the colors and the grains. The street outside is always full of scooters and people walking to the local market. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking around here. We usually have a pot of tea going, and we sit around the big table to discuss which shipments are going out this week. It’s a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to double-checking the invoices. We don't have a big corporate feel at all. It’s just us trying to make sure the rocks get from here to across the ocean without any trouble. We've been in this Ashok Nagar spot for a while and like the energy of the local streets.
