Granite & Marbles Co

Our shop, Granite & Marbles Co, is located right at 110, Santhome High Road. If you know R A Puram, you’ve probably passed by us. It’s a busy area and we’ve been part of it for a good while. Inside, it's mostly stacks of stone slabs leaning against the walls. We keep things pretty simple here. We don't have a big team or a flashy showroom with bright lights. Usually, it’s just us moving pieces around or helping someone pick out a specific color of marble. Working with stone is heavy and messy, so the floor usually has some dust on it no matter how much we sweep. We handle both granite and marble because people in this neighborhood often ask for both. It’s a lot of manual labor, checking for cracks and making sure the edges are okay. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork unless we have to. Most of the day is spent on our feet. Sometimes customers come in with sketches on scraps of paper, and we try to figure out what fits their space. It’s just how we operate. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure the stone we sell is decent. Being on Santhome High Road keeps us busy enough with the local traffic and folks stopping in for a quick look at what's in the yard.
