Gj Spices

Gj Spices is located right on Bridge Rd in Periyar Nagar. If you walk by our place, you can usually smell the spices before you even see the sign. It’s a strong scent that sticks to your clothes by the end of the day, but we’ve all gotten used to it. The building is situated near the bridge, so we get a lot of noise from the traffic crossing over. It’s a busy little area, and we fit right in with the rest of the shops along the road. Inside, it’s mostly bags and containers filled with different types of spices waiting to be sorted or sent out. We don’t have any fancy displays or a big showroom. It’s a working space, plain and simple. The floor is often a bit dusty from the grinding and packing, and we spend a lot of time sweeping up. There are a few of us who have been working here for years, and we just know the routine by heart now. We don’t bother with much marketing or trying to look like a big company. We’re just a local spice business in Periyar Nagar doing what we know how to do. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult when we are trying to load the vans, but we manage. It’s a steady life, filled with the everyday work of handling the stock and talking to the local buyers who come by. We keep the machines running.
