Genesis Womens Hospital

Genesis Womens Hospital is situated at 9/10 First Main Road in the Seethammal Extension area of Teynampet. This part of Mylapore is usually a bit quieter than the main commercial streets, which is nice for a hospital. We’ve been operating out of this building for a good number of years now. It’s a place specifically for women’s health, so we see a lot of mothers and daughters coming through. The layout of the building is pretty traditional for this neighborhood. We have various rooms for checkups and staying over if needed. The trees along First Main Road give a bit of shade, which helps keep the place from getting too hot in the summer. We don't have a lot of fancy gadgets or modern art on the walls, just the essential medical equipment and some chairs for people to sit in. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we have a good connection to the local community in Teynampet. We deal with the usual daily tasks of running a clinic, from filing charts to talking with patients about their concerns. It’s a steady kind of work. People appreciate that we are tucked away in a residential extension rather than being out on a noisy highway. We try to keep the atmosphere calm, even when we are busy with a lot of appointments. It’s just a regular hospital doing its part for the women in this section of Mylapore.
