Gem Granites

If you find yourself on Cathedral Road at numbers 76 and 78, that is where Gem Granites is located. It is a fairly well-known part of the city. We have been working with granite for a long time now. The slabs come in and they go out, and we are the ones in the middle of it all. Working with stone is heavy work. It is not something you can do half-heartedly. We have guys who have been here for decades, and they know the sound of the saws better than anything else. The office is small and usually has blueprints or order forms scattered everywhere. Cathedral Road can get quite congested with traffic, so we have to time our deliveries carefully. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes getting the big trucks in and out. We do not really bother with big signs or flashy lights. People who need us usually know where we are. The stone itself is what matters. Each piece has its own patterns and we spend a lot of time just moving things around so people can see the colors. It gets loud when the cutting starts, but you get used to it after a few days. We keep it pretty basic. No one here wears a suit. We just wear work clothes that can take a beating from the dust and the rough edges of the granite. It is just a normal day at Gem Granites.
