Gajendra Granites

You can find us at Plot No. 551/4-A on Poonamallee High Road in Arumbakkam. This area is always bustling, and being right on the high road means there’s never a dull moment. We have a decent-sized plot here where we keep all our granite stock. It’s a lot of open space, which is good because these slabs take up a lot of room. Most of the day is spent managing the yard. We have to be careful with how we stack things so nothing gets damaged. The sun beats down on the yard quite a bit, so it gets pretty hot out there during the afternoon. We don’t spend much time in the office; we’re usually out there with the stones. People driving by often pull in when they see the big displays of granite out front. We just show them what we have on hand and talk about the different types of stone. There’s no pressure or sales talk here. We just know our granite and we’re happy to help people figure out what they need for their floors or counters. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sweating, but that’s the business. We’ve been in Arumbakkam for a while now and we’ve become a regular part of the landscape on this stretch of the road. It isn't easy work but it keeps us moving and we enjoy the daily pace.
