G. S. Granaite Ornamental Emporium

We have a small shop on Muva Street in Aru. The name on the sign is G. S. Granite Ornamental Emporium, but most people just know us as the place on the corner of the street. We focus on decorative stone work and granite. It’s not just big slabs; we have smaller, more detailed pieces too. The shop is at number 18, and it’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the inventory we have inside. We spend a lot of time cleaning the dust off the polished surfaces so people can see the colors properly. Aru is a place where everyone kind of knows what everyone else is doing, so we get a lot of local visitors. We aren't trying to be the biggest supplier around; we just like the ornamental side of things. It’s interesting to see what people want to put in their homes to make them look a bit better. Sometimes we’re out in the back working on a specific piece, so customers have to call out for us. It’s a very informal way of doing business, but it works for us. We don't have fancy brochures or a sales pitch. If you like what you see on the shelves or in the yard, we can talk about the price. It’s been our way of life for a long time now, just working with stone on Muva Street and helping the locals with their projects.
