Fortis Malar Hospital

Fortis Malar Hospital is situated at No. 52 1st Main Road in the Adyar/Gandhi Nagar area. It’s a pretty central spot for people living around here. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the building shows a bit of that age, but it’s sturdy. Inside, it’s a lot of bustling around. Nurses are moving between rooms, and there is always a bit of a queue at the reception desk. We don't try to be anything we're not. We are just a local hospital where the staff knows each other’s names and the coffee in the canteen is just okay. People come here because they know where we are and what we do. 1st Main Road is always full of cars and bikes, which makes getting here an adventure sometimes. We don't use fancy language to describe what happens inside these walls. It’s just medicine, paperwork, and a lot of standing on our feet. The Gandhi Nagar neighborhood is a good community to be a part of. We see familiar faces from the shops nearby coming in for various reasons. It’s a straightforward operation at No. 52. We open the doors every morning and do our best until the shift ends. It’s not always pretty or perfect, but it is real life.
