Filter Mocha Private Limited is located at No.5 Canal Bank Road in Ra Puram. It is a nice little spot right near the water. We started this business because we really like coffee and we wanted to be based in this specific neighborhood. Ra Puram has a very particular feel to it, and we think our small setup fits in okay. The building itself is not huge, but we have managed to make it our own over the years. We spend the majority of our time roasting or dealing with different types of beans. It smells really great inside the building most days of the week. We do not go for that polished, corporate look that you see in the big malls. Our furniture is simple and our walls are mostly plain. We are not trying to impress anyone with expensive decor or fancy lighting. We just want to make sure the coffee we handle is exactly what it should be. The Canal Bank Road can be a bit quiet in the afternoons, which we actually enjoy. Sometimes the high humidity in Chennai makes the storage part of the job a bit tricky, but we have figured out how to handle it by now. We are just a small group of people who show up every day and do our jobs. We do not have a big mission statement. We just work hard. (246 words)
