Farm Suzanne Private Limited is based at 64 Montieth Road in Egmore. It is a busy street with a lot of people walking by all the time. Our building is an older one and we occupy a space that serves as both an office and a bit of a storage area for our farm-related products. We deal with various items that come from farms, mostly things that people need for their grocery shops or for their own cooking. The staff is quite small, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it is answering the phone or helping to move a heavy box of produce. The office is often cluttered with samples and paperwork strewn across the desks. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to polish our image; we just focus on the logistics of getting food items from the source to the city. Egmore is a central location which helps with the deliveries, though the traffic on Montieth Road can be a nightmare during lunch hours. We usually have a few crates sitting by the entrance waiting to be picked up. The atmosphere is generally relaxed, and we don't worry too much about corporate formalities. People come in and out, we discuss the prices of the day, and we try to keep the inventory moving as fast as possible. It is a practical business run by people who don't mind getting their hands a bit dirty when a shipment arrives unexpectedly.
