F N F Cool Bar

Running a cool bar in Arumbakkam means you are always busy when the sun is out. We are located right at No 79 in H Block. Most of the people living around here come in when they need a quick break from the heat. It is a small spot, nothing too flashy, just a place to sit for a minute and have something cold to drink. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glasses and making sure the fridge is working right because the heat is no joke. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to manage with what we have, but usually, things are fine. The neighbors stop by after work or during their lunch breaks. You get to hear a lot of stories sitting behind the counter all day. Chennai gets so hot that a cold drink is really the only thing people want most of the time. We keep a few chairs out, but often it is standing room only when the college kids or office workers arrive all at once. My cousin helps me out during the busy hours because it is hard to do everything alone. We keep things simple here. There is no complicated menu, just the stuff people like and ask for every day. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road for a bit, and we have to hurry up and unload the crates. It is just a local shop in a busy part of town.
