We are right on the ground floor at number 135. It’s on the Second East Main Road in Anna Nagar. Expressbriyani Foods India Private Limited is a name that sounds a bit formal, but we are just a regular food business. Being in Anna Nagar means we are always surrounded by people and traffic. It’s a very busy part of town. We spend most of our time in the kitchen making sure the pots are ready. We registered as a private limited company to keep the legal side of things straight. The street outside is usually full of bikes and cars, so it’s never quiet around here. We don’t have a big fancy dining hall or anything like that. It’s a practical setup meant for getting food out fast to people who are hungry. Our staff is just a group of regular folks who know how to cook. We don’t use any corporate scripts or have a mission statement on the wall. We just want the food to taste like it’s supposed to. Some days we have a lot of orders at once and things get a bit chaotic, but we find our rhythm. It’s hard work, especially with the heat from the stoves, but it’s what we do. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay as long as people keep coming by for a meal. It is just a local kitchen doing its best.
