Our address is a bit confusing because it has the old number 10/2 and the new number 27. We are on 1st Street in Kumaran Colony. It’s a residential-feeling area but we’ve been handling stones here for a long time. The street isn't very wide, so when we get a big delivery, things can get a bit tight with the neighbors and the cars. We deal with various types of stones, and our small space is usually packed with different samples and cut pieces. Because we are in a colony, we try not to make too much noise early in the morning, but the work has to get done regardless. We don't have a big corporate team. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the stone without breaking it. We spend a lot of time talking to homeowners who are trying to fix up their kitchens or floors. We show them what we have in the back and tell them how it wears over time. It’s honest work. The Chennai heat is tough, so we drink a lot of water and take breaks when the sun is at its peak. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us because a neighbor told them we were here. We keep the place as tidy as you can with stone dust around, but it’s still a workspace at the end of the day. We just focus on getting the right pieces to the right people without any extra fuss.
