Elite India Purasawalkam

Our place is on Purasawakkam High Road, which is always a bit of a mess with the traffic. The address says Old No 73 and New No 175, which is just how things go in this part of Vepery. It confuses the delivery guys sometimes, but once you find the building, it’s easy. We are right on the main stretch where all the shops are. It’s a busy area, very traditional in some ways but always changing. The building itself is older, and we’ve tried to keep our space functional. We don't have those big glass fronts like some of the newer places that have opened up recently. It’s just a solid, honest shop. The fans are always running because it gets quite stuffy with all the people outside. We see a lot of people every day, from families doing their weekend shopping to people just passing through on their way to work. Purasawalkam has that specific energy where everyone is in a hurry. We try to be quick with our work because we know nobody likes to wait in this heat. We’ve been in Vepery for a good while, so we know the local tea stall owners and the other shopkeepers around us. It’s a community feel despite being so crowded. There’s no big corporate board behind us, just us trying to run a decent business on a very busy road. We stay open late most nights to catch the after-work crowd.
