Alpha Trading Agency

Alpha Trading Agency is based at No-2, Avenue Road in Nungambakkam. This is a pretty well-known area in Chennai. Our office is quite simple, just a few rooms where we handle all the trading business. We’ve got stacks of files everywhere because we haven't quite moved everything to the computer yet. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of working, but it works for us. The street outside is usually full of traffic, so there’s always a hum of engines in the background. We deal with various goods, mostly acting as the middleman for different suppliers. It involves a lot of phone calls and writing down notes on whatever scrap of paper is nearby. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. There are just a handful of us here making sure the orders get processed correctly. The walls could use a new coat of paint, and the ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it’s on high speed. We usually eat our lunch together in the small back room. It’s a steady job. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just show up, do the trading work, and try to keep things organized. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside flood a little, which makes getting to work a challenge, but we manage to stay open most of the time. It is a plain and practical life here on Avenue Road. We focus on the day's tasks.
