Bapalal & Co Jewellers & Diamonds Kakani Towers

Our place is up on the first floor of Kakani Towers, right there on Khader Nawaz Khan Road. It’s pretty easy to find because we are directly opposite the Taj Coromandel Hotel. Nungambakkam is a busy area, but once you get up to the first floor, it’s a bit quieter. We spend most of our time at the counters or looking through the stock we have in the back. People come in from all over the city, usually after they’ve been stuck in traffic on the main road. The building has been here for a long time. We try to keep the glass clean and the lights working so everything looks okay. It’s just a regular workplace for us. Sometimes it gets crowded on weekends, but mostly it’s a steady pace. We don’t really go in for big speeches about what we do. We just open up in the morning and stay until the evening. Being in unit 34 means we have some neighbors who’ve also been here for years. You get used to the rhythm of the street outside. Khader Nawaz Khan Road has changed a lot since we first started, but the location at Kakani Towers works for us. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the shop stays in good shape for whoever walks through the door next. We are just a local team working together in this building.
