Durga Engineering Works

Durga Engineering Works is situated in the Kailash Estate, specifically at 22/2 and 8/2. We are right near Sugyan High School in the Virtnagar area of Odhav. This part of Odhav is very industrial, so we fit right in with the other workshops and factories around here. Our space is basically a big shed with some machines and a small corner for an office. It is noisy and there is usually the sound of metal being cut or welded. We started this place because we liked fixing things and building parts. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, and we all wear sturdy boots to stay safe. It is hard work, especially when the weather gets really hot, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a website or a marketing person. Most of our customers are other businesses in the estate who know us by name. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the parts are strong. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if a customer is in a rush. It’s a simple operation. We show up early, turn on the machines, and get to work. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain English and a lot of grease. We’ve been in this spot for years and don't plan on moving. It is just how we do things.
