Duhkaar Food & Beverages Private Limited

Duhkaar Food & Beverages operates out of D3 in Orchard Manor, which is on Dewan Rama Road in Purasawakkam. It’s an older part of the city, and it has that specific feel to it. Orchard Manor is a quiet enough building, but once you step out onto Dewan Rama Road, you’re right in the middle of the Purasawakkam bustle. We started this private limited company because we wanted to do something in the food and drink space. It’s not a huge operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us working out of this space. We spend our days dealing with vendors, looking at new products, and trying to keep the books in order. Sometimes the air conditioning breaks down and we just have to open the windows and deal with the humidity. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporation because we aren't one. We are just local people trying to build something that lasts. The neighborhood is full of small shops and families who have been here for generations. We like that atmosphere. It’s honest and real. We don’t have fancy brochures or a PR person. If you called us, you’d probably just talk to one of us directly. We just keep trying to improve what we do, one day at a time, and hope that our work speaks for itself without us having to brag about it or use fancy words.
