Dhadhi Masala

Dhadhi Masala is located at number 638 in Mangalam Colony. We are tucked away in a corner of Anna Nagar East. It's a residential area, so it's usually peaceful until we start the grinding machines in the back. We’ve been running this little place for some time now, and it has become our second home. We handle a lot of different spices every day, from coriander seeds to dried red peppers. You can usually tell we’re working just by walking down the street because the aroma is quite strong and covers the whole block. We started small and stayed that way because it's easier to manage things ourselves without too much trouble. We don't have a big team of workers or a management layer. It’s mostly just us making sure the quality is okay before any bag is closed. The neighbors are used to the noise and the sharp smells by now. Sometimes people just walk in to see what we're packing that day or to ask for a small quantity for their dinner. We don't use fancy packaging or have a shiny storefront with lights. It’s just a practical workspace where we do our job. Life in Anna Nagar East is steady, and we like being part of the community here. We keep our hours regular, though sometimes we stay late if there’s a big order to finish for a customer. We aren't trying to be a giant company. We just do this.
