Deccan Tiles & Marbles

We are located right near the Ayappan Temple on Anna Salai in Nandanam. The address is 475/31. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you know the temple. We have been working with tiles and marbles for a long time now. The showroom isn't huge, but we have stacks of stone and ceramic everywhere. It’s heavy work, moving those slabs around. Our floors are usually covered in a bit of stone dust, which is hard to avoid in this business. We show people what we have in stock and tell them how it wears over time. We don't use a lot of sales talk. If a piece of marble has a vein in it that looks a certain way, we point it out. Every stone is different, so it takes some time to look through them all. We’ve had the same guys working here for years. We know which tiles work best for a bathroom or a porch. It gets hot in the afternoons, but the stone keeps the place feeling a bit cooler. We don’t have a website with a bunch of filters. You just come in, look at the stacks, and see what you like. It's a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us so far. We just like the feel of the material. Sometimes we have tea while waiting for the next truck to arrive. It's just us and the stone. We like the shop.
