If you walk down No.21 in Arunachalapuram, Arumbakkam, you will see us there. De Retro Tea House (Opc) Private Limited is the name we picked out. Arumbakkam is a crowded place and our little spot is right in the thick of it. We spend most of our time boiling water and getting the tea leaves ready. The smell of tea is everywhere in the building. It is a bit of an old-fashioned vibe, which I guess matches the name. We have some regular customers from the neighborhood who stop by just to say hello. The morning rush is always the hardest part of the day because everyone is in a hurry to get to work. We just try to keep up with the demand. The space is small and we have to keep it very organized or we wouldn't be able to move. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. Most of our furniture is just basic and functional. It is a lot of standing around and talking to people while the tea steams. Sometimes the rain makes the street outside quite messy but people still find their way to us. We are just a local tea house trying to do our thing every day. The kettle is almost always on from six in the morning until we close up late at night.
