Cw Spices

Cw Spices is located in the basement level of Rams Apartment, over on Bagavantham Street in T. Nagar. It’s a very busy part of the city, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking right outside the window. Being in an apartment building means we have to be careful about the noise and the smells, but spice grinding is always going to be a bit loud. We have a small space, so every inch is used for storing bags or the grinding machine. It gets a bit crowded when we have a big shipment of black pepper or turmeric coming in. We spend a lot of time just moving sacks from one corner to the other so we can get to the door. The lighting isn't great, but we have a couple of tube lights that do the job. My nephew helps me with the packing on the weekends. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one near the gate. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they live in the building and can smell what we are making. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the fine dust that gets into everything. We try to keep things tidy, but it's hard with so many bags everywhere. It’s just a small local business trying to get the orders out on time.
