Cookgramam Llp

We’re over in Virugambakkam, right on Arcot Road at number 219. It’s the old number 40 building, up on the first floor. If you know Chennai, you know Arcot Road is always packed with traffic and people shouting, so it’s never quiet around here. Cookgramam is our little operation. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or at the desks near the front window watching the buses go by. The floor is a bit worn down from people moving things around, and the paint is peeling a little in the corners, but it works for us. We aren't a big company with a board of directors. It’s just a few of us who like food and wanted to start something of our own. We do all the cleaning and the heavy lifting ourselves. Sometimes we run out of space when a big shipment comes in, and we have to stack boxes in the hallway. It’s a bit chaotic, but we know where everything is. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves because we’re just regular people. We work hard, we eat lunch together at the big table, and then we get back to it. Being on the first floor means we see everything happening on the street. It’s a busy, noisy, real place to work, and we wouldn't have it any other way right now. We've been at this for a while and keep it going.
