Our place is called Coffee Shop, and you can find us at 42, Anna Nagar. We are right near the Anna Nagar Depot, so there is always a lot of movement. Buses are coming and going all day, and you can hear the drivers calling out. It is a loud area, but we have gotten used to it over the years. The shop itself is small. We have a few tables squeezed in where people can sit if they are not in a rush. Most people who come in are either waiting for a bus or have just gotten off one. They look a bit tired sometimes, so we just let them sit and rest. We do not have any big signs or bright lights. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We stay open pretty late because the depot stays busy. My hands are usually busy with something, like washing cups or tidying up the sugar jars. In the rainy season, the floor gets muddy from all the boots coming in, and I have to mop it three or four times a day. That is just how it goes when you are this close to the station. We see a lot of travelers, people we will never see again, and also the local guys who work at the depot. It is a mix of everyone. We just keep the lights on and the door unlocked.
