Emerald Bags

We are located over at No 16/14 Zackariah Colony, specifically on the First Street here in Choolaimedu. It is a bit of a tucked-away spot, but that is how we like it. We have been making bags in this neighborhood for some time now. It’s mostly just a few of us here every morning getting the machines ready. Choolaimedu is a lively place, so there is always something going on outside the door. Our space isn't huge, but it fits everything we need to get the stitching and cutting done. Sometimes the noise from the street gets in, but you get used to it. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. The tables are usually covered in fabric scraps and thread. We make all kinds of bags, from simple ones to more sturdy stuff. It’s hard work on the back sometimes, sitting there for hours, but it is what we know. We aren't some big factory with thousands of workers. It is just a local operation on a small street. If you come by, you might have to dodge a few scooters parked out front. That’s just life in this part of the city. We keep a regular schedule, starting early and finishing when the light starts to fade. It feels good to see the finished product piled up at the end of the day. We just focus on the next bag in front of us. It is not always perfect, but we try our best with what we have.
