Chettinad Masala Industry

We are based at No;10/11 on Rangaraja Puram 2nd Street in Kodambakkam. This part of the city is always moving, and our little corner is no different. Being a masala industry, we are always surrounded by the smells of different spices, which can be quite strong if you aren't used to it. The street is narrow, so parking is always a bit of a headache for anyone coming by. We have been in this building for years, and it has seen a lot of work go through its doors. It is a bit of an old structure, with some cracks in the walls here and there, but it holds up fine. Inside, it is mostly about the grinding stones and the packing tables. We don't use any fancy automated systems for everything; a lot of it is done by hand or with simple machines. The staff here has been with us for a long time, so we all know the routine by heart. Sometimes we have to work late when there is a big order to finish before the weekend. Kodambakkam is a busy place, but once you step inside our gates, it is all about the work. We don't have time for much else besides making sure the spice mixes are right. It’s just how we live and work every single day.
