Bhuvi Granites

Bhuvi Granites is located at 78/12 in the Sowcarpet area. If you’ve ever been to Sowcarpet you know how narrow the lanes can be and how much is always going on. It’s a very busy part of town and we are right in the thick of it. Managing a granite business in such a crowded place has its challenges especially when we have to bring in new stock. We have to time the deliveries just right so we don't block the whole street for too long. Space is at a premium here so we have to be very smart about how we store the slabs at 78/12. It’s a lot of moving things back and forth to get to the pieces we need. The air is always full of the sounds of the city and people passing by our door. We don't have a fancy display area because there simply isn't room for it. Instead you just see the stone leaning against the walls and piled up in the back. It’s a very local feel here and we talk to the other shop owners on the block all the time. Our days are long and involve a lot of sweat but it’s what we know. We’ve become a part of the daily rhythm of Sowcarpet. It’s not a quiet life but it’s our life and we just keep the business going one day at a time without any grand plans.
