If you head down Poonamallee High Road in Koyambedu, you’ll see us at New No. 1131. Bhikshu Marble Anf Granite is basically a big yard full of heavy stone slabs. It’s a dusty business, there is no way around that. We spend our days moving marble and granite around, showing people the different patterns and colors that nature came up with. Koyambedu is always loud with traffic, and being on the high road means we see a lot of it. We don't wear suits here; we wear clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of stone dust on. It’s hard work, lifting and loading these heavy pieces onto trucks. We try to be honest about what each type of stone is good for, even if it’s not what the customer wants to hear. Our office is just a small room to the side where we keep the invoices and take a break from the sun. We’ve been at this for quite a while, moving from the old number 19 to this new spot. It’s a straightforward business. We buy stone, we store it, and we sell it. There isn't much more to it than that. Sometimes a slab breaks or a delivery is late because of the crazy traffic on the high road, but that’s just life. We just keep going, making sure the yard is ready for the next day.
