Bhikshu Marble And Granite is over at New No. 1131 on the Poonamallee High Road in Koyambedu. Some people still know the building by its old number, 19. It’s a very busy area with all the traffic heading towards the bus terminus. We have a lot of stone slabs piled up in our yard, from marble to granite and everything in between. It’s a physical business. We spend our days moving heavy loads and talking to people who are building their homes. We don't have a polished sales team or a fancy brochure. We just show you the slabs we have and you can pick the one you like. The yard is usually quite hot and dusty, but that’s just how it is in this trade. We keep a small office where we can sit down and do the paperwork once the customer has made a choice. We’ve been in Koyambedu for quite a while now and we know the local market well. We aren't trying to be the biggest marble dealer in Chennai. We just want to provide a decent product at a fair price. Our workers have been with us for years and they know how to handle the stone without breaking it. It’s a lot of hard work, but we take a bit of pride in seeing our stone go into a new house. It’s a simple, honest business.
