Thamaya Granite

Thamaya Granite is located at No. 24 Ayanambakkam Bo. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the city center, but we like it that way. Ayanambakkam Bo is where we do all our work. We have a large open area where the granite is kept. It’s not a showroom with bright lights and glass cases. Most of the stone is just sitting out there under a tin roof or even out in the open. We spend most of our time outside, so our clothes usually have a bit of stone dust on them by the end of the day. It’s a simple setup. We have a small room we use as an office where we keep the books and take phone calls. Sometimes the signal isn't great out here, so we have to step outside to talk. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People mostly find us because they live nearby or someone told them about the yard at No. 24. We’ve got a couple of guys who help with the loading. It’s slow work sometimes, especially when the weather is bad and the ground gets muddy. We just take it one day at a time. The stone is heavy and the days are long, but we’re used to it. It’s just us doing our thing in Ayanambakkam, making sure the slabs are ready when someone comes to pick them up.
