Our office for Asian Granito India Ltd. is located in the Parsn Paradise building, right on the ground floor. It’s at New No.46, which used to be Old No.109, on G.N Chetty Road in T.Nagar. If you know Chennai, you know G.N Chetty Road is always humming with people and cars, and finding a place to park can be a real headache. We’re in a spot that gets a lot of foot traffic, but inside it’s a bit quieter than the street. We’ve got samples of granite and tiles all over the place, leaning against the walls and tucked into corners. It’s not a giant warehouse, just a practical space where we can show people what we have available. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or working with the catalogs, trying to coordinate between the factories and the local contractors who come in. The transition from the old address numbering to the new one still confuses some people, so we often have to explain where we are over the phone. Being in T.Nagar means we see a lot of different people every day. It’s a busy life, mostly spent dealing with logistics and making sure the inventory matches what the customers are looking for. The air conditioner usually runs all day to keep the Chennai heat out, and there’s always a stack of paperwork on the desk that needs attention before we head home.
