Aruvy Agro Farms Private Limited

Our office is in Chennai, located at Sri Ramajayam Apartments in the Medavakkam area. Specifically, we are in G2 of the E&F Block. It’s right near Anna Salai and Jalladaiyanpet. It might seem strange to run a farm company from an apartment building, but this is our base for all the paperwork and planning. Our actual farm work happens further out, but we meet here to discuss how things are going. Medavakkam has changed so much; it used to be all empty land, and now it’s full of buildings. We try to keep a bit of the old way of doing things alive. It’s a small family-type business. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who care about how food is grown. When you come to the apartment, it feels more like a home than an office. We usually have the balcony doors open to get some air. We spend a lot of time worrying about the soil and the water out at the farms. It’s not easy managing land when you’re based in the city, but we make a lot of trips back and forth. We don't have a polished corporate image. We are just trying to manage our farms the best way we know how. It’s a lot of phone calls and ledger books, but we like it this way. Sometimes our neighbors ask us what we do, and we just tell them we are farmers who live in the city.
