Archean Granites

Our yard is tucked away on the 3rd Main Road in Natesa Nagar, which is part of Virugambakkam. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes with the trucks because the roads around here weren't really built for big industrial loads. We are at 171/A, and you can usually see the granite slabs stacked up from the street. It’s a bit different working in a residential-heavy area like this compared to a big open industrial zone. We have to be careful about the noise and the mess we make. Most mornings start with checking what came in the night before. The stone is heavy and moving it around the small space takes some skill. We don't have a fancy office or a big sign. It’s mostly just the work area and a small place to sit down. The humidity in this part of town can be really tough when you are lifting things all day. We see a lot of the same faces coming through, locals who know we are here. Sometimes it feels like we are just part of the furniture in Natesa Nagar. There’s always something to be done, whether it’s cleaning up the water from the cutters or reorganizing the piles. It’s just a straightforward operation where we handle stone every day.
