Apex Maritime

Apex Maritime is situated on Thambu Chetty Street. We are on the third floor of the building that has both the new number 195 and the old number 96. It can be a bit confusing for people who are visiting for the first time, but that’s just how the numbering works in this part of town. We’ve been here for a long time. The building is older, and you can feel the history when you walk up the stairs. We don't have a fancy elevator, so we get a bit of exercise every day. Our office is filled with the usual things you’d expect in a maritime business—lots of charts, shipping logs, and stacks of documents. It’s a busy environment because the shipping world doesn't really stop. There’s always a ship somewhere that needs attention or paperwork that has to be filed with the port. We spend a lot of time on the phone and checking the latest updates on our computers. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important work that we take seriously. The street outside is always bustling with traders and people moving goods. We like the energy of the area. It keeps us on our toes. We aren't big on corporate meetings; we usually just talk across the desks to get things sorted out. It’s a very direct way of working that seems to suit us just fine. We handle what we have to and go home.
