Moksh Jute Bag Shoppe

Our shop is over in Anna Nagar, on that small 5th street just off the 10th Main Road. If you find the post office, you’ve basically found us because we are right opposite it. It’s a handy spot. We deal mostly in jute bags of all kinds. The smell of the jute is the first thing you notice when you walk through the door. It’s a very natural, earthy scent that lingers on your clothes. We have bags stacked up to the ceiling sometimes. Small ones for gifts, big ones for groceries, and everything in between. The street outside gets quite crowded during the day with people going to the post office. We see the same faces every week. It’s just a simple shop. Nothing fancy or modern. The floor is concrete and the shelves are wooden. My cousin helps out when things get busy, especially around festival times when everyone wants a gift bag. Sometimes we run out of space and have to move things to the back. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving those heavy bundles. We keep a pot of tea going most afternoons. It’s a good place to work. You get to talk to all sorts of people who walk in looking for something sturdy to carry their things in. We’ve been here long enough that the local delivery guys don’t even need the address anymore.
