Anjaraipetti Masala

Anjaraipetti Masala is located on Metre Factory Road in K K Nagar. The name comes from the traditional spice box found in most kitchens around here. We try to live up to that by providing the basic spices everyone needs for their daily cooking. Our place is on a busy road, so there is always the sound of horns and people passing by. Inside, the smell of roasted coriander and cumin is always strong. It’s a small operation. We have a few machines for grinding and a couple of tables for packing the bags. We do most of the work ourselves. We aren't some big factory with robots. It’s all very human and a bit loud sometimes. The people in K K Nagar know us well. They often stop by just to get a small packet of something fresh. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy logo. We just put the spices in bags and sell them. Sometimes we experiment with different blends, but mostly we stick to what people like. It’s a lot of cleaning and making sure the ingredients are dry. If the humidity is high, it makes our job much harder. We just take it day by day. It’s a good feeling to see our packets in people’s kitchens. We’ve been here at this address for several years and plan to stay for many more to come.
