We have been running things here at 6-9-84 on Hunters Road for a long time. Choolai is a busy spot, and our shop is right in the thick of it. If you walk inside, you will see shelves piled high with all sorts of things, from basic tools to heavy hardware items. It is not the most organized looking place, but we usually know exactly where everything is kept. The dust settles on the boxes pretty fast because of the traffic outside on Hunters Road, so we spend a good chunk of the morning just wiping things down. We get all kinds of people coming in, some who know exactly what they need and others who just bring a broken part and ask if we have something like it. It can get pretty loud with the horns honking outside, but we are used to it by now. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space we have. There are hooks and bins everywhere you look. We don't really do much in the way of decorating; it is a practical space for practical work. Most days are just about helping the person standing at the counter and making sure the inventory is okay. It’s a decent way to spend the day, even if our hands get a bit dirty from the metal and grease. That’s just hardware for you. Sometimes we lose track of time when the shop is full of people looking for specific bolts.
