Anand Hardwares

If you go down to 11, Theradi Street in Madurandhakam, you will find Anand Hardwares. We’ve been on this street for quite a long time. It’s a narrow street, so it can get a bit cramped when we get deliveries, but we make it work. Most people in Madurandhakam know us for the hardware stuff we keep in stock. We have shelves full of things and sometimes it’s hard to find what you need without asking us first. But we know where every single screw and tool is kept. My father helped set this up, and now I’m the one running things at Anand Hardwares. It’s a local shop, through and through. We don't have fancy displays or air conditioning. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, but the ceiling fan keeps us going. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors who stop by for a bit of advice on their home repairs. We don't try to sell them things they don't need. It’s just about helping out where we can. Theradi Street is a nice place to be. You see the same faces every day, and it feels like a real community. We open the doors early and stay until the sun goes down. There’s no big mystery to how we run things. We just stay honest and work hard. That's how it's always been here at number 11. It's just a simple life for us here.
