Alfa Marbles & Granites

We are located over at New 215 Old 11, right near the Raj Park Hotel on Jawaharlal Nehru Salai, which most people just call the 100 Feet Road. Being in Arumbakkam means there is always a lot of traffic passing by our front door at Alfa Marbles & Granites. Sometimes it’s hard to even hear yourself talk when the big buses go past. We have been here through the changes in the street numbers, which is why we have to explain the old and new address to anyone visiting. Our space is filled with different slabs of granite and marble that we’ve brought in. We spend a lot of time moving these heavy pieces around so people can see the patterns. It’s manual work, and our hands are usually rough from handling the stone. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us here making sure the orders are ready and the slabs aren't cracked. The office part is small and usually has some stone dust on the table. We keep the ledger books on a shelf and try to keep track of who needs what by the end of the week. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the back where we keep the darker granites. It’s a busy road and a busy life, but we keep the place running day after day without much trouble.
