Akshya Physiotheraphy Fitness Clinic

Our clinic is on Erukancheri High Road, right in the Sharma Nagar area of Vyasarpadi. Specifically, we are at number 900. It’s a busy road so there’s always noise from the traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it. We focus on physiotherapy and fitness, so the place is full of mats, some weights, and tables for treatment. It’s not a fancy gym with neon lights or anything. It’s more of a clinical space where people come when they’ve hurt their back or are recovering from a surgery. We see a lot of local workers from Vyasarpadi who have aches and pains from their jobs. A typical day involves a lot of stretching and showing people how to move properly so they don't hurt themselves again. The floor is easy to clean and the walls are just plain. We don't have a big front desk team, so you usually just talk directly to whoever is free. Sometimes we are juggling three people at once, helping one with exercises while another is on a heat pack. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have fans going. We aren't here to sell memberships or anything like that. We just want to get people back on their feet. It is hard work but it feels good when someone walks out feeling better than when they came in. We just keep things simple and focus on the physical recovery.
