Akila'S Physio Clinic

Akila'S Physio Clinic is located at Abhinav Palace, specifically in Flat No. 2 & 23 on the 1st Main Road in Jeth Nagar, Mandaveli. Since it is in an apartment building, it feels a bit different than a hospital. It has more of a neighborhood vibe. People walk over from the nearby streets. We use the space for different physiotherapy setups. One room might have the mats for floor exercises, and another has the heat pads and machines. It’s a bit of a maze between the two flats, but we’ve gotten used to it. The windows look out over Jeth Nagar, so we see the daily life of Mandaveli while we work. We spend a lot of time helping people move better. Sometimes it’s slow going. Physical therapy takes patience, both for us and for the people coming in. We talk about local news or what’s happening at the temple nearby while doing the sessions. It’s not a sterile, cold environment. We have our charts and our schedules pinned to the wall. Some of the equipment is old but it works just fine. We make sure the towels are washed and the space is tidy, but it's a working clinic, not a showroom. The afternoon sun hits the balcony of the flat, and that’s usually when we take a small tea break before the evening rush starts.
