We are up on the second floor of the building at No. 78/1 on LB Road. It is a busy street, so there is always a lot of noise from the buses and traffic downstairs throughout the day. 24Gb Training & Placements is really just a group of us who know how hard it is for people to find a decent job these days. We have a couple of rooms with computers that we try to keep running as much as we can. People come in looking for a start in their career or maybe a change because they are stuck. We spend our time going over resumes, talking about how to handle interviews, and trying to connect folks with companies that are actually hiring right now. It is not a polished process by any means. Sometimes the internet is slow or we have more people than we have chairs for, but we figure it out as we go. We are not some high-end headhunting firm with fancy suits. We are just here on the second floor trying to help people navigate the mess of finding work. The walls are pretty plain and the coffee we make isn't great, but the advice we give is usually solid. We see many nervous faces on Monday mornings. By Friday, we are usually just tired but ready to do it all again next week. It is a lot of paperwork and phone calls, but it is what we do at this spot.
