Sri Krishna Marbles & Granites

We’ve been here at J.N. Salai on 100 Feet Road for a while now. Most people know the Arumbakam area is busy, and our spot at No. 7 and 8 is right in the middle of all that noise. It gets pretty dusty with the marbles and the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is. We spend most of our mornings moving slabs around and checking the stock of granite that comes in. Usually, someone is out front washing down the stones so people can see the real colors. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is hitting the road hard, but we get through the day. Sometimes the trucks show up late, or a customer wants to see ten different pieces of marble before picking one. We just show them what’s in the yard. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a lot of heavy stone and some basic tools to get the measurements right. People drop by from the neighborhood or stop their cars because they saw the sign while driving down the Salai. We keep things simple here. There’s a lot of paperwork to deal with, and the phone rings a lot, but mostly we are just busy with the physical work of the shop. If you’re looking for the place, look for the big stacks of stone near the 100 Feet Road junction. We’re usually here until the evening. It’s a plain place but it serves our needs well enough.
