Loyola Academy Cbse School

Loyola Academy Cbse School is located out in Kattankolathur, which is a bit of a distance from the main city center of Chennai but very close to the station. Being in Chengalpattu means we have a bit more space than schools in the middle of town. The building is solid and has been through many monsoons. You can see the students coming in from the nearby residential areas every morning, some walking and some on bicycles. The playground gets a lot of sun, so by noon, the ground is usually quite hot. We have regular classrooms with standard desks and blackboards. The hallways are wide enough for the kids to move around during the breaks. It’s a noisy place during lunch, as you can imagine. We don't have a lot of flashy signs or anything like that. The address is easy to find if you are familiar with this part of the district. Most of the people working here live nearby, so there is a lot of local talk in the staff room over tea. We keep track of the CBSE lessons and try to make sure the books are covered before the exams come around. It’s a straightforward environment without a lot of fuss. When the final bell rings, the whole place empties out pretty fast as everyone heads home to beat the evening traffic. It is just a normal school day for everyone here and we stay busy with it.
