Verma Madhuri Architect

I am Verma Madhuri Architect and I run my practice from House No.288 in Sector -21/A. It is a regular house in a residential area which I find works out quite well for me. I don’t have a big sign outside or a lobby. I just use one of the rooms as my main workspace. Most of my day is spent looking at blueprints or talking on the phone. Sector -21/A is a nice part of town, pretty calm for the most part. I have lived and worked around here long enough that I know most of the people on my street. The office is usually full of half-finished sketches and coffee mugs that I forgot to take back to the kitchen. It is a one-person show mostly, so I handle everything from the drawing to the boring paperwork. I like that I can just walk to my desk in my slippers if I want to. Sometimes I get distracted by the birds outside or the sound of the mail being dropped off, but I usually get my work done eventually. It is a very basic way of working but it suits my style. I am not interested in having a big fancy office in a glass tower. This house is plenty for what I need to do every day. It feels honest and simple, and I don't have to worry about a landlord or a long commute.
