Our office is set up in Kothi Number 26 over in Silver City Main. It’s right on the Zirakpur Ambala Highway, so it’s not hard to find if you’re driving that way. We are quite close to Sindhi Sweets, which is a good spot for a snack. Working as architects here means we spend a lot of time drawing and looking at site plans. The building we are in is a regular kothi, so it has more of a homey feel than a cold office building. We have our drafting tables and computers set up where they fit. It’s often a bit cluttered with rolls of paper and samples of materials. That’s just the way we work. We aren't big on keeping things perfectly neat when a project is in the middle of everything. It’s a small team here. We talk a lot about designs and how to make things work on the ground. The highway outside is always moving, but inside we just focus on the lines on the page. We’ve been in Zirakpur for a bit and it’s a good place to be for this kind of work. There are always new houses and shops being built around us. We just keep our heads down and do our drawings. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We don't have a receptionist, so we just answer the door ourselves when someone stops by.
