St Marys School

Down in Sector 46B of Chandigarh, you’ll find St Marys School. It’s a familiar spot for the families living around here. Chandigarh is a planned city, but life inside a school still feels a bit messy and alive. We aren't one of those high-pressure institutions you see in the news. We’re just a regular school where kids spend their mornings and afternoons. The building is older, with wide corridors that stay a bit chilly in the winter months. We have a small garden area that the kids sometimes help look after. Most of the parents come from the nearby blocks to pick up their children. Our classrooms are simple. We have the usual wooden benches and green boards. Teachers here have been around for a long time; some of them even taught the parents of our current students. That’s just the kind of place it is. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We teach the subjects, hold the exams, and have a little fun on sports day. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or a fan stops working, and we get it fixed when we can. It’s a practical environment. The focus is on the kids getting their work done and being decent people. We’re glad to be part of the Sector 46 community. It’s a quiet corner of the city, and we like it that way. No one here is trying to impress anyone; we just work.
